Sam Haslam
Sam qualified as a solicitor in 1999 at a Leeds firm and has practiced solely in family law in both Leeds and Harrogate since then.
Sam is also a registered Mediator.
Sam is experienced in a wide range of family related issues, but with particular emphasis on financial settlements and child related issues arising on separation and divorce. She acts for parents seeking to move with a child to another part of the country, or abroad, and for parents opposing such a move.
Although adopting a constructive and conciliatory approach to her work, Sam is no stranger to the courtroom when agreement cannot be reached.
Sam is now a registered Mediator and is intending to work towards obtaining accreditation from the Family Mediation Council.
In Sam’s spare time she enjoys walking her dog and reading.
“Thank you for a first class job”
“Credit where credit is due, I actually never thought it would be sorted but it finally is thanks to Sam’s hard work and persistence – I have recommended her to two of my clients already”
“Thank you for managing me through a very difficult and stressful time. You kept me calm and helped navigate the way through successfully”
“When I first met Sam, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but that quickly changed. The more we spoke, the more impressed I became with her depth of knowledge and professionalism. She truly knows what she’s doing and has a remarkable ability to make you feel confident and completely at ease. Thanks to her expertise and guidance, I achieved a very positive outcome with my financial situation. I’m incredibly grateful for her support and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a skilled and dedicated solicitor.”
“Sam provided calm, steady, and pragmatic guidance throughout what was a lengthy, challenging and often emotionally draining process. Divorce is rarely straightforward, and while legal support can be costly, I felt confident that no time or effort was wasted. Everything Sam undertook was purposeful and focused. Thanks to Sam’s legal support, I was able to continue in a career I love and, most importantly, secure a stable home for my two children during their time with me. Without that, I fear I could have lost a significant part of my relationship with them. It’s crucial to have a solicitor who stays focused on achievable outcomes and doesn’t get drawn into the emotional turbulence that often accompanies separation. Sam did exactly that, and I’m very grateful for her help.”
