Hollie Burnett
Hollie qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and joined Lake Legal in May 2017. She was promoted to Associate in May 2021 and became a Partner in September 2025.
She is actively involved with the management of the firm and recruitment as well as the development and training of junior members of the team.
Hollie specialises in medium to high net worth financial settlements, complex cohabitation disputes, domestic violence, pre and post-nuptial agreements and child related issues arising on separation and divorce.
When an agreement cannot be reached she also has extensive experience of court proceedings and supporting clients through that process. Clients appreciate her robust approach coupled with a sympathetic, understanding and approachable manner.
Hollie has been ranked in the latest editions of Legal 500 and Chambers.
In Legal 500, Hollie is currently ranked in the Leading Associates category which highlights lawyers with regular involvement in their team’s key work and recognition from peers or clients as being ones to watch. She is described as being ‘a star of the North’. Hollie previously sat as Vice Chair of the Young West and North Yorkshire Resolution for two years. Resolution is an organisation of family lawyers who promote a non-confrontational approach to family problems wherever possible.
Outside of work, Hollie enjoys travelling, walking in the countryside, Reformer Pilates, playing netball and spending time with her family and two dogs.
