Lake Legal has once again retained its top tier ranking in the latest edition of the legal directory, The Legal 500.  The directory highlights expertise across different practice areas.

One commentator stated that “the firm’s strength stems from its modest size as this has allowed the firm to retain its identity, ensure the quality of its work and enabled the exceptional talents of its principals to be absorbed by the more junior members of staff.”

In addition to the team rankings, two members of the team were also singled out. Lyn Ayrton was one of two individuals listed in the ‘Hall of Fame’ which highlights individuals who have received constant praise from their clients for continued excellence. To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, lawyers must be widely regarded as being at the very top of the profession, and to have been consistently ranked as leading individuals by The Legal 500 for a number of years (at least eight of the last ten years in the UK).

Lyn is described as “a superb technical lawyer, negotiator and adviser to her clients whom she supports to her utmost whilst always being prepared to deliver the bad news. She is truly excellent. Lyn’s ethos permeates the team she has built up”. Another commentator goes on to say that Lyn “cuts through detail quickly and is able to elucidate cases with great ease and skill”.

Claire Glaister was one of three individuals listed in the ‘Rising Stars’ category which highlights lawyers who appear frequently in significant matters and are widely cited by peers and/or clients as having made major contributions to practices. Claire is described as having an “excellent reputation” and for being “a key contact”.
