Lake Legal has once again retained its tier 1 ranking in the latest edition of the legal directory, the Legal 500. The directory highlights expertise across different practice areas and the firm has now held its high ranking in tier 1 for several years.
The commentary refers to Lake Legal as being ‘one of the top specialist boutique firms in Leeds with an established, forward-thinking, adaptable and capable team.’ It goes on to state that ‘Lake Legal are a cut above other boutique family firms in the region. We are particularly noted for our financial work with high-net-worth individuals, including matters involving business and trust assets, often cross-jurisdictionally. We are also praised for the team’s work with families of autistic children.
In addition to the team rankings, four members of the team were also singled out. Lyn Ayrton was one of two individuals listed in the Hall of Fame which highlights individuals who have received constant praise from their clients for continued excellence. To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, lawyers must be widely regarded as being at the very top of the profession, widely known and respected by peers and clients for their longstanding involvement in market leading work. Lyn is praised as ‘the real queen of financial remedy in the North East‘ and ‘the most impressive solicitor in the North East. Claire Glaister was one of seven individuals listed in the ‘Next Generation Partner’ category which highlights lawyers with significant recognition from clients and peers in the market and key roles on multiple matters. Claire is praised as ‘showing wisdom beyond her seniority. A most accomplished solicitor. Thorough, great judgment.’
Hollie Burnett and Brooke Dempsey are also singled out as other key lawyers besides Lyn Ayrton and Claire Glaister. Brooke is described as being ‘one to watch. She is a strong and robust lawyer with compassion and empathy for her clients.’
